Our Review
The Purple Plus mattress is a step up from the ever so popular ‘Purple Mattress (Original). Both the Purple Plus and the Purple Mattress feature an upper 2-inch GelFlex Grid layer and a 4-inch polyfoam support core. The original model contains one layer of polyfoam in the comfort system, the Purple Plus has an additional polyfoam comfort layer for extra cushioning and responsiveness.
The Purple Mattress is a true pioneer in regards to a ‘bed in a box’! Purple was one of the very first brands to offer a quality mattress that is shipped right to your doorstep!
In our opinion and after testing out the various Purple mattresses, the Purple Plus mattress is an excellent choice for your next mattress.
We found that the mattress sleeps incredibly cool and comfortable. We assume this is due to the 1400+ air channels that are built into the mattress. In addition to sleeping cool, the mattress did contour extremely well to the body and instant pressure relief was felt when laying down.
Construction & Quality
The cover is made up of Purple’s ‘SoftKnit’ covering. This is designed to ensure that the sleeper instantly feels the benefits of the GelFlex grid below the cover.
Below the cover is a 2″ layer of Purple’s GelFlex grid foam. This is designed to cradle the body and relieve pressure points.
Next comes the comfort layer in the form of 2″ premium comfort foam. This extra 2″ of comfort foam really does go a long way in regards to comfort. This is more supportive and responsive, so when you roll over and move at night, your body is constantly supported.
Overview
Overall the Purple Plus mattress did impress! The mattress is a little thicker than the Purple Original and it does sleep a little more comfortably.
The firmness level is roughly a 6 out of 10 and is considered a medium firm mattress.
If you are looking for an affordable mattress that sleeps well, supports your body and keeps you cool while sleeping – than this mattress is worth trying!
Warranty & Trial
Purple offers a 100 night sleep trial. If you are not satisfied with the mattress within the first 100 nights, you may return it to the company!
There is a 10 year warranty with all Purple mattresses.
