It’s important to know the size of the mattress that will best suit you and your needs! Here are the unilateral dimensions for the various sizes of mattresses on the market. *Mattresses are measured in inches.

A standard twin mattress measures 38″ wide x 75″ long. A twin XL is often a popular choice for taller individuals who only need a twin size bed. A twin XL is 5″ longer than a regular sized twin mattress.

Twin mattresses are great for smaller rooms, children and adults who plan on sleeping alone in their bed.

A full size mattress and queen are very similar and size, but can offer two totally different sleeping experiences – especially if two adults are sleeping together.

A full size mattress measures 54″ wide x 75″ long. This mattress is perfect for sleeping alone, providing a roomy feel. However, if two grown adults are sleeping on a full size mattress – it can get a little tight.

A queen size mattress is the most common mattress size for two adults to sleep on. Measures 60″ wide x 80″ long. Those six inches in width between a full size mattress and queen size mattress surprisingly makes a big difference in regards to sleep space.

The king size mattress is perfect for two adults that enjoy having plenty of personal room while sleeping. A king size mattress is also offered in what is called a ‘split king’, this is typically used on king size adjustable bases, where each size is able to adjust to different angles separately.

The California King is the largest mattress on the market! This is the mother of all mattresses and it is incredibly roomy! Whether you are sleeping alone or with a partner – the California King offers a ton of space to get comfy in!

Measuring a whopping 72″ wide and 84″ long, this mattress size is perfect for two adults – if you have the bedroom space for it! That is the only drawback to the CK mattress, it’s massive size! Many bedrooms simply are unable to accommodate the California King!
