The Core, Plus and Luxe models contain memory foam, but you would never know it! The mattresses are made up of natural foams over a durable coil system. While each model will feel different, the overall feel is satisfying, relaxing and comfortable.
The Helix standard mattress measures 12” thick with a four layer construction, while the Luxe models measure 14” and offer a six layer construction.
Construction & Quality
Cover – Each Helix mattress uses organic birch wool and organic cotton in their cover construction.
Comfort Layer – Natural Talalay Latex. This extremely breathable latex allows your body to rest easily and conform to the mattress, all while regulating your body temperature so that you remain cool all night long!
Support Layer – The Helix’s support layer is made up of top quality foams, foams that will allow you to sink into your mattress comfortably – without feeling like you are being swallowed.
Base Layer – This layer ensures that all of the above layers do what they are supposed to do!
Coil Layer – Helix mattresses use individually pocketed coils. Whether you are lying still or rolling around on the mattress, the coil system fully supports you, allowing the rest of the layers to conform to your individual body shape and size.
Firmness Based On Model
- Helix Sunset
- Firmness Scale: 2 to 3
- Ideal Sleep Position: Side Sleepers
- With a softer feel and great pressure relief for side sleepers, we would put the Sunset at about a 2 or 3. Think of it as a soft, but supportive marshmallow.
- Helix Moonlight
- Firmness Scale: 2 to 3
- Ideal Sleep Position: Back and Stomach Sleepers
- 2-3 Helix Moonlight: The Moonlight is still one of our softest models, but is slightly firmer than the Sunset to provide some support for back and stomach sleepers. If you like a bouncier, more reactive feel, this might be a good choice for you.
- Helix Midnight
- Firmness Scale: 4 to 7
- Ideal Sleep Position: Side Sleepers
- This is our most popular model for a reason! The midnight is pretty much smack in the middle of the firmness scale – not too soft, not too firm. Think Goldilocks :).
- Helix Dusk
- Firmness Scale: 4 to 7
- Ideal Sleep Position: Back and Stomach Sleepers
- Similar to the Moonlight, the Dusk is a bouncier, more reactive medium feel mattress. It is just slightly firmer than the Midnight, so its great for back and stomach sleepers.
- Helix Plus
- Firmness Scale: 7 to 8
- Ideal Sleep Position: Good for All Sleep Positions
- This mattress is a Medium Feel mattress for plus size sleepers with more body weight. However, there are plenty of customers who don’t fit that “plus size” description who enjoy the Plus for its extra support. If you fall into the latter category, the Plus will probably feel a bit firmer for you.
- Helix Twilight
- Firmness Scale: 8 to 9
- Ideal Sleep Position: Side Sleepers
- The Twilight has a nice firm feel, but because it uses memory foam in the comfort layer, it still allows for relief at your pressure points. This hybrid style gives you the best of both worlds between a foam mattress and innerspring mattress.
- Helix Dawn
- Firmness Scale: 8 to 9
- Ideal Sleep Position: Back and Stomach Sleepers
- This is the firmest of our standard options, with very little give. None of our options are a full 10, so it won’t feel like you’re sleeping on a rock, but the Dawn will provide lots of support for back and stomach sleepers.
Warranty & Trial Period
Helix offers a 100 night trial period. If you are not satisfied with the mattress within the first 100 nights, you are able to return it!
The warranty period ranges from 10-15 years based on model.

Helix mattresses are offered in all standard mattress sizes and the prices range from $399 to $1500.
